Portuguese demonstrating 'quality and temperament', says veteran
Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs has described team-mate Nani as a 'special talent' after his impressive display against Tottenham.
The Portuguese expertly regained the lead for his side in their eventual 3-1 victory over Tottenham on Saturday to keep the Premier League title race alive.
Nani has begun to demonstrate his ability this season after frustrating since arriving from Sporting Lisbon in 2007 and Giggs, who scored United's other goals from the penalty spot, is the latest to heap praise on the 23-year-old.
The Welshman said in the
Daily Star: "Nani is a special talent. It was a great goal. To finish as coolly as he did shows how much quality and temperament he has got.
"We showed a lot of character to come back from 1-1 and we were looking good at the end."
Nani was also battling sickness after vomiting on the pitch in the closing stages, which was a repeat of an incident suffered earlier in the match by team-mate Patrice Evra to mean that United had to work even harder for the win.
"With Nani and Evra being sick, we had a bit of a battle and that was where the character in the team showed through," Giggs concluded.
