United defender keeping out of former team-mate's way
Rio Ferdinand admits he has stopped talking with his old friend Frank Lampard ahead of Sunday's showdown with Chelsea at Old Trafford.
The England duo have remained in regular contact during their careers, having played together during their West Ham days.
However, in a match that could determine the destination of this season's Premier League title, club priorities take over.
And the Red Devils defender admits all communication with his former team-mate comes to an abrupt halt.
He said: "At this time of the season, me and Frank don't really talk, it's an unwritten agreement between us.
"During the season we will send each other the odd text here and there but when it comes to the business end, if we are both involved in the title race, there is not really any dialogue."
