Red Devils defender yet to think about Anfield trip

Manchester United defender Chris Smalling insists the club have not thought about their impending FA Cup clash with Liverpool. The Premier League big guns have been paired in the fourth round of the cup, a fixture that has always delivered mouth-watching action. It will be the first visit to Anfield for the Red Devils since October's meeting, a game remembered for all the wrong reasons following the Luis Suarez racism row. The Uruguay international will sit out Saturday's game on Merseyside through suspensions after being found guilty over his comments towards Patrice Evra, although Smalling and co have not thought about taking on Kenny Dalglish's side yet.

Thoughts

"To be honest, we've not really thought about it," commented Smalling. "The manager spoke before that we've got five or six massive games coming up and I think he just wants us to enjoy it. "That's what I'm certainly going to do. "It'll be nice to do them on their own patch, just like we have done (to Arsenal) here."
Central
Smalling was back in the middle of United's defence in Sunday's 2-1 win at Arsenal and he prefers a central role. "It's nice to come back into the centre," he continued. "I've had a frustrating last month with the illness etc. "But I'm feeling fit as a fiddle now and hopefully I can have a good run until the end of the season."
