Sir Alex Ferguson says Paul Pogba is still making his mind up regarding his future at Man Utd after appearing as a sub against West Brom.
United boss praises midfielder's potential after West Brom outing
Sir Alex Ferguson admits Paul Pogba is still making his mind up regarding his future at Manchester United after the midfielder featured in the 2-0 win over West Bromwich Albion.
Pogba is out of contract at the end of the season and the 18-year-old has been offered a new long-term deal at Old Trafford.
However, reports have claimed that the French youngster is ready to reject the chance to stay at United in favour of a move to Italian giants Juventus.
The situation has led to claims that Pogba was being omitted from Ferguson's first-team plans after he was not involved in the recent Europa League home defeats by Ajax and Athletic Bilbao.
Potential
The player's inclusion in the squad for Sunday's success over West Brom, though, prompted rumours that Pogba had decided to accept United's offer of a new contract.
Ferguson says no decision has yet been made, but he is confident that Pogba is a first-team figure for United following his substitute's appearance against West Brom.
"The boy is still trying to make his mind up but he knows where he should be," Ferguson told
MUTV.
"He has shown again the potential he has got and he is a first-team player, there is no question about that."
