Red Devils youngster promises fight to reclaim crown
Manchester United defender Phil Jones has pledged to learn from the bitter experience of being pipped to the Premier League title by neighbours Manchester City.
And the England international has backed Sir Alex Ferguson's men to come back stronger next season.
Jones cut a forlorn figure at Sunderland's Stadium of Light when he was told City's late comeback had prevented United retaining their crown.
The 20-year-old's summer has been brightened by a call-up to England's Euro 2012 squad, but he is already relishing the opportunity to wrestle the title back from City.
Ready
"I thought we'd pulled off the impossible at first," Jones told United's
official website. "But then City scored two goals in quick succession and that killed us.
"I'll take that on board with what I've learned this season. It's been a massive learning curve for me. I've played a lot of games this season and I've really enjoyed playing.
"City have won the title this year but hopefully we'll be back next season, fighting and ready to go again."
