Fryers joins Standard on a two-year contract
Former Manchester United defender Ezekiel Fryers has signed a two-year contract with Belgian club Standard Liege.
The 19-year-old, whose deal with the Red Devils expired in June, made his senior debut for Sir Alex Ferguson's side last September in a Carling Cup tie.
Fryers went on to make a further five appearances for United but has now moved to Standard after catching their eye a couple of years ago.
"We spotted Ezekiel two years ago at an elite tournament where England and Belgium participated," sporting director Jean-Francois de Sart told the club's official website.
"We have followed him since. He was out of contract with Manchester United and it was a great opportunity we could not miss."
