Ocio signs for Sevilla

ATHLETIC BILBAO defender Aitor Ocio has snubbed the overtures of Chelsea to complete his move to Sevilla.

Chelsea and Deportivo La Coruna had both been keen to sign the 26-year-old, who was available on a free transfer after his contract expired at San Mames.

Sevilla, though, were always in pole position to secure his signature and Ocio has penned a three-year contract at Sanchez Pizjuan.

Ocio has had a ‚é¼15 million buy-out clause inserted into his contract although Bilbao can purchase the stopper back for ‚é¼10 million.

He will be officially unveiled by Sevilla on Monday and will be a valuable addition to the squad for the coming campaign.

Meanwhile, as Ocio arrives at Sanchez Pizjuan, Argentinian striker Mariano Toedtli departs Seville.

Recreativo have snapped up the forward on loan for next season and have the option to sign the South American on a permanent basis.
