Glenn Johnson has been fined for attempting to steal a toilet seat and bath taps from a B & Q home improvement store, according to media reports.It has been claimed that Chelsea defender Johnson, currently on-loan at Portsmouth, tried to smuggle the bathroom fittings out of the store on Wednesday, before being thwarted by police.
Johnson was helped by Millwall striker Ben May, also arrested, with a police spokesman having confirmed that two men had been arrested and fined.
"Kent Police arrested two 22-year-old men on Wednesday on suspicion of theft in Dartford," read the police statement.
"Both men have been issued with 80 pound fixed penalty notices."
Johnson is on-loan at Fratton Park until the end of the season, when he is expected to return to parent club Chelsea.
