FA overturns midfielder's red card
The Football Association has rescinded the red card handed out to Frank Lampard in Chelsea's clash with Liverpool.
The Blues midfielder was adjudged to have fouled Xabi Alonso early in the second half at Anfield on Sunday and was given his marching orders by referee Mike Riley.
Chelsea went on to lose the match 2-0 and later confirmed they would be appealing against the decision.
The FA has reviewed the incident and agreed with Luiz Felipe Scolari that Lampard should not have been sent off.
Lampard had been facing a three-match ban but will not now have to serve a suspension.
The 30-year-old will be available for selection against Hull City on Saturday as Chelsea aim to get their title bid back on track.
