French forward hoping to help fire Blues to domestic Double

Nicolas Anelka admits he feels 'at home' at Chelsea and is hoping to help the club to an historic Double. The Frenchman insists he is happier now than he has ever been throughout a distinguished career which has seen him turn out for some of Europe's biggest clubs. His undoubted ability has allowed him to obtain an enviable collection of medals along the way, both domestically and internationally. Surprisingly, though, Anelka has just one Premier League title to his name, collected in 1998 during his time at Arsenal, and two FA Cup winners' medals. He plans to add to that haul this year, though, with Chelsea close to landing both prizes in the same season for the first time in their illustrious history. "I have been fortunate with the trophies I have won in the past, and it has been great, but winning trophies with Chelsea would surpass anything I have done so far because this is the first club where I have felt at home," the 31-year-old striker told the Daily Express. "Our biggest aim was always to win the title, but now we have a chance to win the Double. That would be creating history for this club, and I would love to help write history for this club.

"It was great winning the title with Arsenal, but I am older and wiser now and I know I would appreciate it much more if we do win it now. "We still have two very big games left. I am so eager to do that. I have played more games with Chelsea than with any other club and that is down to the players and fans here." Anelka is also pleased to have silenced those critics who felt he would struggle to strike up and understanding with fellow forward Didier Drogba at Stamford Bridge. "There were people who thought Chelsea's system fitted one striker best, but we have proved to everybody this year that we can play together," he said on a partnership which has plundered 35 Premier League goals this season. "We don't care who scores. If I don't score for a few games but can help Didier, then great. If he helps me score then that is also great. The most important thing to both of us is Chelsea. "Didier is the most complete striker in the world. He is world class, a pleasure to play with and we complement each other perfectly."
