Agent says striker is interested in American adventure
Nicolas Anelka's brother and agent has claimed the Chelsea striker could move to the United States when his current contract expires.
Anelka has spent most of his career in England and is happy to remain at Stamford Bridge until his deal runs out in 2012.
The Frenchman has been with the Blues for almost three years already and has played an integral role in their recent success, linking up with Didier Drogba to devastating effect and topping the Premier League scoring charts in 2008/9.
However, it now appears as though he is keen to experience a new challenge before hanging up his boots.
Dream destination
The 31-year-old's representative, Claude Anelka, says his brother is tempted to follow former France team-mate Thierry Henry to the MLS.
"Nicolas told me he is interested in playing in the United States," the agent told
MLS News.fr.
"We could see him crossing the Atlantic, and I'm serious when I say this. He asked himself what he will do once his current contract runs out.
"The US is quite something, and a dream destination. He says he will give it a try, even though he would earn less money than in somewhere like Qatar."
