Serbian ace happy to stay at Chelsea, despite Spanish interest

Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic claims he is aware that Real Madrid are interested in signing him. Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho is thought to be an admirer of Ivanovic, with the Serbian an attractive proposition for Real as he can play at right-back as well as in central defence. Ivanovic has established himself as a key member of the Chelsea side since arriving from Lokomotiv Moscow in 2008 and played a key role in their FA Cup and UEFA Champions League success this term. Speaking after Serbia's 2-0 friendly defeat to Spain, Ivanovic claimed Real have shown an interest in him, but that he is not thinking of a move away from Chelsea as he is happy at Stamford Bridge.

Future

"Yes, I know that a lot has been said about my future and that Madrid is interested and tracking me," Ivanovic told Marca. "I know that Madrid is interested, but now isn't the time to be talking about that. "I'm focused on the national team at the moment and I'm really happy at Chelsea and in London. "I just won the Champions League a week ago and changing teams is not in my thoughts right now."
