Paris Saint-Germain defender Thiago Silva has accused Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho of not showing "enough respect" to the French club after they knocked the Premier League leaders out of the Champions League on Wednesday night.

After the first leg was drawn 1-1 at Parc des Princes three weeks ago, the score was level again at Stamford Bridge after an extra-time 2-2 (3-3 on aggregate) result handed 10-man PSG the advantage and sent them through to the quarter-finals.

Silva told French TV channel Canal Plus: "I think Mourinho did not have enough respect for us.

"This goal is not personal revenge even if there are people [who] have talked a lot, saying they were happy to face Paris."

Chelsea's advantage grew when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was controversially sent off after 31 minutes.

Gary Cahill's strike nine minutes from the end of normal time was cancelled out by former Blues defender David Luiz, but the hosts went ahead for a second time through an Eden Hazard penalty early in extra-time.

PSG captain Silva, who conceded the spot-kick for handball, was denied from a corner by Thibaut Courtois but then netted with a header moments later to make it 2-2 on the night and send the visitors through.

"When we play like that, anything is possible, we can go very far.

"We have many quality players, very intelligent. They showed it when we played with one fewer. The quality of the team was there."

And he was especially pleased with his 114th-minute effort and praised his side's effort and determination after losing Ibrahimovic before the break.

He said: "This goal is pretty amazing because just before scoring the header, Courtois made a great save from a corner.

PSG's Zlatan Ibrahimovic said Chelsea's players acted like 11 babies when they surrounded the referee

"I was very happy about the goal, but especially for the team because it rewards this great result which we managed with 10 against 11.

"Laurent Blanc has talked a lot about the game in recent days, including motivation.

"On Wednesday morning he showed us a video of Chelsea; what they were doing well and less well. It has served us well."
