Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville discuss Cesc Fabregas’s unusual sending off against West Brom that could cost him at the start of next season.

Cesc Fabregas was sent off in the first half of Chelsea's 3-0 defeat to West Brom on Monday Night Football - and it was a highly unusual dismissal.

Referee Mike Jones was breaking up a confrontation between Diego Costa and several West Brom defenders in the 29th minute when Fabregas - who was standing alone on the other side of the penalty area - took hold of the ball and kicked it into the crowd of players.

The ball struck Chris Brunt on the side of the face, prompting a furious reaction from home captain Darren Fletcher - and the Spaniard was shown a straight red card.

The Sky Sports pundits were bemused by the incident afterwards with Jamie Carragher describing it as "quite funny" - and almost being impressed by the accuracy of Fabregas' kick.
