Christian Benteke's double against Liverpool saw Crystal Palace move seven points clear of relegation with a 2-1 win at Anfield.
The former Reds striker equalised shortly before half-time with a well-timed finish from a Yohan Cabye cross after Philippe Coutinho had but the home side ahead with a stunning free-kick.
Despite the set-back, Liverpool pressed early in the second half and could have been awarded a penalty after Coutinho was clipped by Palace defender Martin Kelly inside the box.
Coutinho stayed on his feet following a slight stumble and managed to get a shot away, which was blocked, and referee Andre Marriner allowed play to continue.
Palace were a constant threat on the counter-attack though and scored what proved to be the decisive goal in the 74th minute, with Benteke heading in his second of the match from close range following Liverpool's failure to clear a corner.
Benteke's winner - his fifth goal as an opposition player at Anfield - puts Palace on 38 points with five games left to play, while Liverpool are now just three points clear of fifth-placed Manchester United, having played two games more.
