Fulham have pulled off the signing of Liverpool winger Lazar Markovic in the final moments of Deadline Day.

The Serbian will bring an end to his days on Merseyside, and remain in the Premier League with the Cottagers.

Fulham lodged a deal sheet for the player with the Premier League just before the 11pm deadline in the hope of pushing through the move, which they managed to successfully.

Sky Sports News understands Liverpool will recoup around £1.7m in wages and fees for the 24-year-old.

Markovic, who signed for the Reds in a £20m deal from Benfica in July 2014, was due to be out of contract in the summer.

Since falling out of favour at Liverpool, Markovic had loan spells at a series of clubs, including Hull City, Fenerbahce and Sporting Lisbon.

It was a busy final day for Fulham, who failed in their bid for full-back Youssouf Sabaly despite meeting a £12m release clause and the player passing a medical.
