Arsenal are the latest English club linked with Serbian Player of the Year Nikola Zigic, but Arsene Wenger may be too late as West Ham look to be closing in on his signature.The Hammers have been leading the face for the giant Crvena Zvezda striker, who is wanted by a host of clubs including Tottenham, Fiorentina and Hamburg.
Manchester City and Liverpool are also said to have made enquiries, as Wenger has also done.
However, West Ham - who met with Zvezda officials in Paris last week - have reportedly agreed a deal which will see Zigic arrive at Upton Park in the summer.
Zvezda and Zigic have both already insisted they do want a move in January - so a deal now for the summer would seemingly suit all parties.
A statement is expected from the Belgrade club over the coming days, when they will confirm whether Zigic's future has been resolved or not.
