Dutchman would consider Blues switch

Ryan Babel's agent has confirmed Birmingham have made an offer for the Liverpool winger. As revealed by skysports.com earlier this week Birmingham have tabled a bid for the unsettled Dutchman. Liverpool are believed to be ready to offload Babel as Rafa Benitez looks to raise funds for his own signings in this month's transfer window. Babel's representative, Winnie Haatrecht, insists the Holland international would consider a move to St Andrews if both clubs agree a fee for his services. "We know that Liverpool seriously thinks about the offer from Birmingham, we would consider a deal if both clubs come to an agreement," Haatrecht told De Telegraaf.

Haatrecht admits Babel would prefer to fight for his place at Liverpool but will move on if he is told to. "In general Ryan wats to succeed at Liverpool," added Haatrecht. "But if the people at Anfield conclude it's better he leaves, we have to think about the next chapter in his career. "We will look then to the team, the perspectives of the club and Ryan as well as a meeting with the manager." Haatrecht claims a number of clubs are interested in signing Babel, but that they are struggling to agree a deal with Liverpool "I have sent all interested clubs to Liverpool, finally five or six clubs contacted the club," he stated. "None of them came to an agreement with Liverpool."
