Serbian striker on his way to Anfield in the summer
Milan Jovanovic claims to have agreed pre-contract terms with Liverpool ahead of a summer switch.
The 28-year-old is set to become a free agent at the end of the season, as he runs down his contract at Standard Liege.
A swift exit from the Belgian outfit has been touted for some time, with a number of clubs reported to be tracking the striker's availability.
Liverpool have always been in pole position to land the Serbia international, despite mounting interest from Primera Liga giants Valencia.
Jovanovic's agent revealed on Wednesday that a deal had finally been struck with Rafa Benitez's Reds, and the player himself has now confirmed that he will be heading to Anfield providing he passes a medical.
Delighted
"We have reached an agreement for three years, with the option to extend for another season," he told Belgian newspaper
Sporza.
"I have yet to undergo a medical exam, but that shouldn't be a problem.
"I don't have any physical problems and I'm feeling perfectly fit.
"I opted to sign for Liverpool because they're one of the biggest teams around in Europe. They're definitely among the 10 biggest sides.
"I'm absolutely delighted that the deal is completed. From now on, I can focus on Standard Liege again. I want to leave the club in a good way."
