Aquilani set to miss out for Reds

Liverpool face the first of two pivotal games in their season when they tackle Lille in the second leg of their last 16 Europa League tie. The Reds play host to the French side at Anfield aiming to overturn a 1-0 deficit from the first leg to keep alive their hopes of winning some silverware this season, before a crunch clash at Manchester United on Sunday. Liverpool are set to be without Alberto Aquilani as he struggles to shake off a virus. The Italy international, who was man of the match in Monday's 4-1 win over Portsmouth, missed training on Wednesday because of sickness and will be assessed on Thursday. If he misses out Lucas Levia is expected to come back into midfield alongside Javier Mascherano. Maxi Rodriguez is ineligible for the home side so Dirk Kuyt is set to come back into the starting line-up. Defensive duo Martin Skrtel (foot) and Fabio Aurelio (thigh) remain sidelined, otherwise Rafa Benitez has a fully-fit squad to choose from. Lille travel to Merseyside without strike pair Gervinho and Tulio De Melo. Lille coach Rudi Garcia is also unable to call upon midfielder Mathieu Debuchy and defensive duo Nicolas Plestan and Ricardo Costa beacuse of injury. Eden Hazard, who scored the winner in the first leg, is set to be Lille's main danger with Pierre-Alain Frau again ploughing a lone furrow in attack.
