Italian side pleased with Aquilani's progress

Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta admits the club are looking at 'all the options' concerning Liverpool misfit Alberto Aquilani. The 26-year-old is on a season-long loan in Turin after failing to set Anfield alight following his £20million move from Roma last summer. Juventus have an option to make the move permanent next summer and Marotta says they are pleased with his progress, with the midfielder now having gained a place in the starting line-up. He told Tuttosport: "We are pleased with his approach to a new reality. And I would remind you that this is a free loan.

All options

"The redemption? We're certainly looking for all the options that the market offers." As regards keeper Gianluigi Buffon, Marotta insisted the reported Manchester United target was "unsellable." "I deny any talks with Manchester United. Buffon remains a Juventus player," he said. He added that they are in a "good place" regarding Giorgio Chiellini's contract negotiations, while Alessandro Del Piero is a "great professional and that Juventus have all the time necessary in front of them to calmly evaluate (the prospect of a new deal)."
