Danish midfielder moves to Evian on permanent deal
Liverpool have confirmed the sale of midfielder Christian Poulsen to French top-flight side Evian.
The 31-year-old Denmark stalwart had long been regarded as a misfit at Anfield following his arrival from Juventus last summer for a fee of £4.5million.
As revealed by skysports.com on Tuesday, Evian were interested in taking Poulsen to Ligue 1 and a deal was reached on deadline day.
Poulsen was brought to the Reds by former manager Roy Hodgson and made 21 appearances for the club during his year on Merseyside.
The Dane is one of a number of outgoing players at Liverpool with Joe Cole having joined Lille on loan and David Ngog on his way to Bolton.
