The Reds agreed a four-year, £80million deal with the financial services company in 2009.
With so much money being pumped into the Anfield coffers, Standard Chartered are keen to ensure that their reputation and image is not damaged.
Suarez's behaviour during a Premier League meeting with Manchester United on Saturday has come under scrutiny, with the Uruguayan having refused to shake hands with Patrice Evra - the man who accused him of racial abuse back in October 2011 and landed him with an eight-match ban.
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre came out on Sunday to condemn the actions of the striker and apologies have since been issued on behalf of the club, Suarez and manager Kenny Dalglish.
It is hoped that the matter can now be laid to rest, but Standard Chartered have sought to make it clear that they too were disappointed to see a player associated with them act in an unsporting manner.
"We were very disappointed by Saturday's incident and have discussed our concerns with the club," the bank said in a brief statement.
