Alberto Aquilani could return from injury in a fortnight and soon activate his £5million permanent move to AC Milan.
Italian only needs five more appearances to make £5m Milan move
Alberto Aquilani could return from injury in a fortnight and activate the £5million clause which will see him automatically become a permanent AC Milan player, according to his agent.
The Italian midfielder in August returned to his homeland from Liverpool on a season-long loan, but he is currently rehabilitating from a muscle problem.
Aquilani's latest injury has cast doubt over his potential long-term career with Milan, but his representative, Franco Zavaglia, says he only needs to make 25 appearances to secure a deal.
A €6m (£5m) agreement is said to be in place with Liverpool should the 27-year-old, who has played 20 games for Milan in Serie A and the UEFA Champions League, reach that total.
Zavaglia told
TMW: "His recovery is going well. I think he could be back in action in around two weeks.
"As soon as he makes 25 appearances for Milan this season, he will automatically become one of their players outright."
