Defender does admit desire to link-up with Liverpool forward

Juventus defender Martin Caceres has revealed he would like to see Luis Suarez join the club but insists the striker has not spoken to him about a possible move. The Turin giants are keen on signing a striker this summer ahead of their return to the UEFA Champions League next season and have been heavily linked with a move for Suarez and Arsenal forward Robin van Persie. Juve are believed to be leading the race to sign the Holland frontman, who has decided not to sign a contract extension at the Emirates, ahead of Premier League duo Manchester United and Manchester City. Should a move for Van Persie fail, then Liverpool striker Suarez has been mooted as an alternative along with his Uruguay international team-mate Edinson Cavani and Fiorentina hit-man Stevan Jovetic. Juve stopper Caceres was coy on the progress of any deals to bolster his side's frontline but he did confirm that Suarez had not spoken to him about a move while on international duty.

Talents

He did reveal though that he would relish the chance to play with Suarez at club level and is also a fan of Van Persie's talents. "Have I spoken with Luis Suarez about Juve? I didn't speak with him in the national team and he didn't ask me any questions about Juve, that's the truth," he said. "A player with whom I'd like to play? Luis and Edinson [Cavani], but it's not in my hands. "Who is stronger between Jovetic and Van Persie? They are both good players, but Van Persie is better".
