Stephan Lichtsteiner starts for Arsenal against Brighton
Sunday 5 May 2019 16:30, UK
Stephan Lichtsteiner starts in place of the suspended Ainsley Maitland-Niles as Arsenal look to boost their top-four hopes against Brighton on Renault Super Sunday.
The Switzerland international features for the Gunners for the first time since their 2-0 win over Southampton on February 24 in place of Maitland-Niles, who was sent off in last Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Leicester.
Unai Emery has made five changes in total to the side that beat Valencia 3-1 on Thursday.
Bernd Leno, Nacho Monreal, Lucas Torreira and Henrikh Mkhitaryan join Lichtsteiner in the starting line-up with Mesut Ozil, who captains the side, joining Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in attack.
Meanwhile, Chris Hughton, who saw his side's Premier League status for next season confirmed following Cardiff's defeat to Crystal Palace, makes three changes from the Brighton side that drew 1-1 with Newcastle last weekend.
Solly March, Yves Bissouma and Alireza Jahanbakhsh come in for Beram Kayal, Jose Izquierdo and Florian Andone.
