Dutchman makes successful return from knee injury

Arsenal striker Robin van Persie was pleased with his return to action in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Steaua Bucharest. The Dutchman had been out of action for the last two months with a knee injury. Van Persie marked his return by helping create Arsenal's second goal for Nicklas Bendtner before coming off after 64 minutes. The talented forward is now in contention to face Chelsea on Grand Slam Sunday and he was happy to be back playing after such a lengthy spell out. "I am very pleased. It has been too long, two months I think," Van Persie told Sky Sports 2. "I was unlucky when it happened but I am back now and I want to thank the medical staff. They showed me great ambition to make me fit."
