Jay Emmanuel-Thomas admits he would relish another first-team opportunity in Arsenal's Carling Cup tie at Newcastle.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger continues the search for a first trophy since 2005 on Wednesday night and is again likely to select a balance of experience and youth for the midweek encounter.
Emmanuel-Thomas is in the running, along with fellow youngsters Kieran Gibbs, Henri Lansbury and Wojciech Szczesny, to be included in the squad and the striker is keen to impress in the North East.
With Nicklas Bendtner and Theo Walcott both fit following injury, Emmanuel-Thomas may have to take his place on the bench for the fourth round fixture.
But the 19-year-old is ready to offer another option to the Arsenal attack should he be thrown into the action at St James' Park.

"I think I can offer something different. There is no-one that plays exactly my style," he told the club's
official website.
"I am a big guy that likes to run with the ball and beat players. I can create chances, I can score goals, I can make goals and the way I see things in the game has become a lot better than it used to be.
"I have got to keep doing it and keep showing that it is not just a one-off.
"Hopefully the boss will see what I am doing and that I am doing it on a regular basis and hopefully he will give me my chance."
Emmanuel-Thomas, who has been linked with a loan move to Championship leaders QPR, is confident he can make the step up from the reserves where he has chalked up eight goals in five matches.
"It is a lot quicker and there is a lot more at risk because in the first team, if you lose too many games you won't win the league and if you lose in the cup you get knocked out, so there is a lot more to play for," he said.
"But I like pressure and I like playing in games where there is pressure."
