Russian club ready and willing to buy back former star
Zenit St Petersburg have confirmed they would be interested in re-signing Andrey Arshavin from Arsenal.
The Russian joined the Gunners for around £15million in 2009 but has struggled to consistently perform this season, sparking rumours of unrest.
Zenit are monitoring his situation and are lying in wait should Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger decide to cash in on the playmaker this summer.
"Zenit's doors are always open for Andrey," said the club's sporting director Igor Korneev told
Talksport.
"If his situation at Arsenal does not improve and he's not comfortable in London, we can study this issue in time for next season."
Arshavin, 29, has scored six Premier League goals in 34 appearances this season and
questioned his own happiness last month.
