Midfielder could face Udinese in Champions League qualifier

Samir Nasri trained with the Arsenal squad ahead of the crunch UEFA Champions League qualifier against Udinese on Tuesday morning, but Jack Wilshere was missing from the session. Midfielder Nasri's future remains uncertain after Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini expressed his hope that he can quickly finalise a deal for the France international. Nasri started Arsenal's 2-0 defeat by Liverpool at the weekend and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger feels he is 'happy' at Emirates Stadium. If Nasri plays in the second leg against Udinese in Italy, it would render him ineligible to play for another club in the group phase of the competition. Mancini has already admitted that would be a 'big problem, although it is not yet known if Nasri will fly out to Italy with his team-mates later on Tuesday. Meanwhile, England international Wilshere looks unlikely to be involved against Udinese after missing training again owing to his ongoing ankle injury. Wenger's midfield options are boosted, however, due to the availability of Alex Song and Emmanuel Frimpong, whose domestic suspensions will not apply at the Stadio Friuli.
