Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes jobs should be given on merit

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger feels the introduction of the 'Rooney rule' to try and increase the number of black coaches and managers would in itself be a 'kind of racism'.

Priorities

Wenger feels there should be no issues with managers of any ethnic origin making it at the top level if they are good enough. He said: "I don't see any difference between black or white. I could never understand that difference. "You judge people on facts and on what they did in life. I never considered where you come from or what colour you are. "I think if you are good enough, you help people. "We have to keep the priorities right - that means people who want to do a job, who have the qualities to do a job, to give them the job."
