Alexis Sanchez believes Arsenal have the quality to win big titles this season.

The £35m summer signing from Barcelona has slotted in well at the Emirates, scoring five times in 11 appearances in all competitions so far – and the Chile international has been impressed by the quality of the players and coaches at the club.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of Arsenal’s Super Sunday trip to Chelsea, he says the team – if they can couple their talent with belief - have the ability to win major honours this season.

“People had spoken a lot to me about Arsenal and how they were a big club, with a lot of quality players,” he said. “Now I’m here and I look at all the players during training and realise just what fantastic quality they all have.

I want to win everything.

“I want to win everything and looking at the coaches and players we have, with winning attitude and ambition, we can win absolutely anything.”

Favoured position

The 25-year-old has played in Serie A with Udinese and La Liga with Barcelona but says he is relishing his time in the Premier League – the toughest division he’s played in.

He also hinted he wants more opportunities playing on the left of a three-man attack – as he did against Galatasaray in the Champions League on Wednesday.

“Compared to other leagues I’ve played in, the Italian and the Spanish, I think this is the hardest and I like it a lot, I really do,” he said.

“I love playing in any of those three positions [in attack]. I feel slightly more comfortable down the left as I can run at people and cut inside on my right foot, but whenever I’m playing football, any position is good for me.”
