Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger refused to be drawn on his touchline spat with Jose Mourinho after his side's 2-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge.

Wenger and Mourinho were involved in an angry exchange midway through the first half after the Frenchman reacted to Gary Cahill's dangerous tackle on Alexis Sanchez.

The pair exchanged angry words before Wenger appeared to shove Mourinho in the chest, but when quizzed for his version of those events, Wenger told Sky Sports: "You have good cameras - I just went out to see what happened and that is it.

"I say absolutely nothing (else about it)."

Wenger also disagreed with Mourinho's assertion that Laurent Koscielny should have been sent off for the tackle on Eden Hazard that gave Chelsea a penalty in the first half.

"No, because he went for the ball," Wenger added.

"I don't think it was a deliberate foul inside the box."

Wenger suggested Chelsea's "financial power" had been a major factor in the game, making reference to big-money Blues signings Hazard and Diego Costa as the difference in the game.

"It was a very even game I think, where in moments we were a bit unlucky sometimes," noted Wenger

"As well, at the end of the day, they have a financial power and they used it in a very efficient way when they had the chances.

"Their individual players who can make the difference made the difference - Hazard and Costa."

The defeat leaves Arsenal nine points behind league leaders Chelsea after just seven games of the season, but Wenger is refusing to give up on the chase.

"Of course it's a lot. We have had a lot of difficult games up to now, and with the quality of the team they (Chelsea) have it's a lot, but we will fight to come back," concluded Wenger.
