Sky pundit Charlie Nicholas has been inducted into the Scottish Football Hall of Fame at the eleventh annual awards dinner held at Hampden Park.
But the former Celtic and Arsenal striker, who was capped twenty times for Scotland, says he will not be showing off the trophy in the Soccer Saturday studio.
Nicholas told Sky Sports News HQ: "I won't be because if I do that Phil Thompson is going to turn up with his Champions League trophy and I'm sick to death of it, I really am.
"A lot of things I have never enjoyed, people always think because I am in the media that I am happy to hug the spotlight. I went through a period of coming away from being a star if you like.
"I enjoy my lifestyle, I'm grateful for what I had. I am not a great believer of living in the past, I enjoy football as it is now and I want to see Scotland getting better."
Sunday night’s dinner also included a special tribute to Denis Law, the former Manchester United striker, who was the very first inductee into the Hall of Fame.
Double-winning Tottenham goalkeeper Bill Brown, Rangers winger Davie Wilson and Leeds United's Peter Lorimer - who scored 255 goals in two spells at Elland Road - were also inducted into the Hall of Fame.
Scottish football’s contribution to the First World War was also commemorated as McCrae’s Battalion were given a permanent place of honour at Hampden Park.
The unit of troops were recruited by Sir George McCrae from Edinburgh’s sporting community and beyond in 1914 and included eleven players from the outstanding Hearts side of the time.
