Arsenal ahead of Chelsea in 2015 Premier League table

Chelsea could take a giant leap towards their first league title in five years on Sunday, but face the Premier League's best side this calendar year in Arsenal.
A Chelsea win on Super Sunday at the Emirates would take them 13 points clear of second-place Arsenal with five games remaining, but if the league had started in January, it would be Arsenal sitting at the summit.
In this calendar year, the Gunners have 33 points from 13 games, three more than Chelsea after the same number of games, helped by an impressive eight-game winning streak in the Premier League since losing 2-1 to Tottenham on February 7.
Manchester United sit third with 29 points from 14, Liverpool are fourth with 29 from 13, and Alan Pardew's Crystal Palace are fifth with 26 points from 14.
Palace's fine form since Pardew's arrival in January contrasts with Manchester City's slump since the turn of the year, and having won just six of their 14 games in 2015, they sit in eighth.
Heading north-east, both Sunderland and Newcastle are currently outside of the relegation zone with a handful of games remaining.
But in the 2015 table, the Wear-Tyne duo are 18th and 19th in the table with just nine points apiece this year, while QPR sit bottom with eight points.
