Ian Poulter picks Arsenal #One2Eleven on The Fantasy Football Club

Golf star and Arsenal fan Ian Poulter picked his Gunners #One2Eleven on The Fantasy Football Club.

The Ryder Cup hero picked a 4-4-2 formation comprising of the best players he has seen play for the club.

But he struggled with having to leave out a few of Arsenal's big names such as Ian Wright and Ray Parlour.

GOALKEEPER: David Seaman

The reason? For all the years I've watched Arsenal play I think what he did in goal was simply incredible. I loved him as a 'keeper.

RIGHT-BACK: Lee Dixon

Not only is he a personal friend, which is one reason I love him, but because he said himself he wasn't the most talented of footballers, yet he was a machine. He wasn't the fastest, but the famous back four weren't the fastest and they did the job together.

Also See:

CENTRE-BACK: Tony Adams

I don't think there's any Arsenal team that could do without Adams. Captain for so many years, scored the odd amazing goal as well and to hold that back four together the way he did and to lead that team, he did an incredible job. I don't think there's been a better captain.

CENTRE-BACK: Sol Campbell

A big presence in the back four and scored the odd fantastic goal. I was there in the Champions League final (2006 against Barcelona) when he scored the goal. Obviously it didn't end how we wanted it to but Sol did a brilliant job for us.

LEFT-BACK: Ashley Cole

Obviously he moved on to a different club, it's hard to see someone grabbing the shirt and kissing the badge then going on to wear another shirt. That's difficult. But the years he put in with that role at Arsenal, moving up and down the left-hand side, opening up play for the midfield and putting a lot of crosses in the box. He was a fantastic player for Arsenal.

RIGHT MIDFIELD: Alexis Sanchez

Since he signed he's really energised that team, and not only from a midfield position. He's scored some absolute wonder goals and he could go down as one of the greats of all time hopefully, if he stays at Arsenal for many years!

LEFT MIDFIELD: Marc Overmars

What he did and the pace he had for the team was incredible, down the left, setting up so many goals from crosses, getting past the right-back and cutting inside and scoring goals as well.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: Patrick Vieira

What an incredible job he did, holding up play and opening up play for others. He was very, very big and strong as well as being a presence in the box for set-pieces. Incredible player.

CENTRE MIDFIELD: Cesc Fabregas

The reason being: his vision and the one touch football he played, opening play for the other players as well as the fantastic goals that he scored. He would go lovely there next to Vieira.

CENTRE-FORWARD: Dennis Bergkamp

It's really hard just to pick two strikers when there have been so many. Ian Wright is one of my favourites and he's not going to make the team. I'm going to get slated for that! He's probably going to call me up and call me every name under the sun. But how could you leave out Dennis Bergkamp? Who I have to say scored the best goal I've ever seen (against Newcastle).

CENTRE-FORWARD: Thierry Henry

You cannot leave out Henry. The goals he scored, how many he scored and how he scored them. The highlight reel of his goals is endless.
