Everton have signed Guillaume Plessis after he impressed on trial.

Everton have signed French midfielder Guillaume Plessis after he impressed on trial.

Plessis has signed a short-term deal until the end of the season after cancelling his contract at Lens.

The 20-year-old has impressed Toffees boss David Moyes and he will give him options for the second half of the season.

Plessis, who failed to play a single game for Lens, admitted he was delighted to be moving to Goodison Park.

"I am delighted to have joined a club of Everton's stature and I am looking forward to continuing my career here in England," said Plessis.

"The move here is a big opportunity for me and I have been impressed already by the manager, my new team-mates and the facilities on offer at the club."
