Everton striker Samuel Eto’o has reportedly agreed terms over a move to Serie A side Sampdoria.

The Cameroonian moved to Everton less than five months ago following the expiry of his contract with Jose Mourinho’s Chelsea.

But Sky Italia are reporting that Eto’o has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract with Genoa-based Sampdoria in a deal which would see him earn in the region of £1.15m per season.

They also claim that the 33-year-old would also have the option of joining Sampdoria’s coaching staff when his playing contract expires.

Sampdoria are enjoying a fine year domestically and sit fifth in Serie A as they try and ensure qualification to play European football next season.

Eto’o has made 20 appearances in all competitions for Everton this season, scoring four goals. The Merseyside club are yet to comment on the speculation linking Eto’o with a move away from Goodison Park.
