Trotters boss wants away form to improve

Gary Megson wants Bolton to improve their away results after a poor run of form. While The Trotters are making The Reebok a fortress once again, they have lost their last three away outings in the Premier League. Bolton's woes on the road continued on Boxing Day after slipping to a 2-0 defeat to Everton at Goodison Park. "Our away form performances haven't been good enough," he told Sky Sports. "We need to find the solutions for that. "The way we've performed at home has gone well, but away from home it hasn't worked with the same team." Megson was happy with Bolton's start at Goodison, but felt it was going to be an uphill task once they fell behind.

Pegged back

"We set off okay, but then we got pegged back," he continued. "We tried to regroup for the second half, but conceded a really poor goal. "We had to come out and the second goal made it an even more difficult task." Many of Bolton's players stopped prior to Tim Cahill's clincher for Everton, but Megson refused to blame referee Rob Styles for the defeat. "We thought he had blown the whistle. You can make lot of excuses, but we've not lost because of Styles. "It's just one of those things, but that's not why we've lost."
