Bolton's Jlloyd Samuel says the club's supporters must get behind the side ahead of a crucial run of matches
Defender says Trotters face a "big December"
Jlloyd Samuel says Bolton fans must get behind the side ahead of a crucial month for the club.
The Trotters currently languish in the bottom three of the Premier League and face crucial matches against fellow strugglers Wolves, West Ham and Hull during December.
Gary Megson's side also face Lancashire rivals Wigan and Burnley in a month that could define their season.
They face Wolves at Molineux at the weekend looking for their first win in six matches.
And Samuel says the players and supporters must show a united front if they are to turn things around.
"The fans more than ever have got to stay behind us," he told
The Bolton News. "By them criticising us, it isn't going to help at all.
"We are sticking together, staying positive and have got a game against Wolves to look forward to now."
Bolton go into the match with Mick McCarthy's side on the back of an encouraging draw 1-1 with Fulham and will be looking to haul themselves out of the relegation zone with a win.
The 28-year-old said his team-mates must make the most of the coming matches, when 18 points will be on offer.
"Every game is a big game in the Premier League because no-one gives you an easy ride," he said.
"But we have got a big December against teams in and around ourselves, so we have got to look to capitalise on that as best we can."
