Coyle rewards keeper with deal until 2014
Bolton goalkeeper Adam Bogdan has signed a new deal to keep him at the Reebok Stadium until 2014.
Bogdan is Bolton's No.2 keeper to Jussi Jaaskelainen this season after the club loaned out Ali Al-Habsi to Wigan last summer.
The 23-year-old has made eight appearances for Bolton and he has caught the eye during his stint in goal.
Bogdan has impressed Trotters boss Owen Coyle and he has moved to reward his progress with a new long-term deal.
The Hungarian has earned a call-up to the senior international side this season and he is tipped for a big future.
Coyle was delighted to tie down Bogdan to a new long-term contract.
Investing in youth
"We're delighted that Adam's committed himself to a new contract," said Coyle. "It shows that we're investing in young players and trying to build the football club with that nucleus of those young players.
"Mark Davies, Fabrice Muamba and Lee Chung-yong have all committed themselves to new deals at the club and Adam's the same.
"Since I came to the football club he's been outstanding and to have a young goalkeeper of that ilk commit himself is great news for everybody."
Coyle believes Bogdan can learn a lot from working alongside Jaaskelainen.
"Jussi has probably been one of, if not the, top performers in the Barclays Premier League for the last 10 years and for Adam to work with someone of that quality, it can only help him. And Jussi knows he's now got real competition," added Coyle.
