Skipper confident Bolton will turn things around
Bolton captain Kevin Davies has called on the club's fans to stick by them following a tough start to the season.
The Trotters were booed off by their own fans following Sunday's 5-1 home thrashing by Chelsea.
Bolton find themselves rooted to the bottom of the table after failing to win since the opening day of the season and Davies accepts some of the performances have not been good enough.
"I know the fans are not too happy and rightly so," Davies told the
Bolton Evening News. "We've suffered some heavy defeats here and haven't got any points at home, so we need to do more.
Issues
"While we might not be expected to beat the top teams, we need to compete. It's becoming more difficult but the manner of the defeats haven't been good enough.
"We'll address the issues that need addressing and get on with it. Hopefully, we can be judged on this next set of five or six fixtures where we will have to pick up points.
"I don't want to hide behind the fixtures but we have been dealt a cruel set. I know how important it is to get off to a good start, like we did last season."
