Croatia international eager to get back in the goals for Bolton
Ivan Klasnic has vowed to recapture his place in the Bolton line-up after his goalscoring start to the season was interrupted by suspension.
The Croatia international was in predatory form as he netted three goals in the opening three games of the campaign.
However, his momentum was checked when he was sent off against Norwich which meant he was out of the team for four weeks through suspension.
He made his return as a substitute against Wigan last week to help Bolton to a 3-1 victory.
At 31, Klasnic is experienced enough to know that he may have to be patient before he gets another chance in the team, but he has the finishing skills to most probably accept them when they are presented.
Red card
"I'm back after the red card and waiting for my chance," he told the club's
official website.
"I spoke with the gaffer and he agreed I was playing well before the red card which put me out of the team.
"But that is all gone now and I need to look forward. I need to wait for an opportunity now - we won last week and played well so it will be difficult for me to get back in the team this Saturday.
"I haven't played many matches recently, so I need and want some goals. I need to get my good goalscoring record back."
