Wanderers supremo critical of Attwell at Spurs

Bolton chairman Phil Gartside has labelled referee Stuart Attwell's decision to send off Gary Cahill at Tottenham a 'disgrace'. The defender was shown a straight red card after being deemed the last man having brought down Scott Parker following a loose touch. Parker had open space in front of him, however, the England international was only a few strides into Bolton's half. Gartside believes Attwell rushed his decision, stating there was no chance Parker was guaranteed to score from his position.

Unhappy

"I am not happy about the referee's decision," he fumed. "It's an absolute disgrace. "I am the first supporter of referees. My problem is that [the decision] was too quick. "Scott Parker is one of my favourite players but if he is in a goalscoring position near the halfway line then he is a genius."
