Neil Lennon has already started to shake up his backroom staff at Bolton, with development coach Jamie Fullarton departing the Macron Stadium on Tuesday.
Fullarton was brought to Wanderers by Dougie Freedman in the summer of 2012 and follows the Scot in leaving the club this month.
Fullarton worked with the club's youth set-up and Lennon is keen to extract more from that area moving forward.
The Northern Irishman, who has taken over a team bottom of the Sky Bet Championship, said on Monday: "We want to promote the youth as well, I think that's important.
"We've got a fabulous set-up in the academy and I want to bring through some of the younger ones going forward but that's a bit further down the line.
"At the minute we're in a little bit of - I wouldn't say it's a dogfight - but we've got to start grinding out results. It's probably not the time for young ones just yet."
