French forward happy at Fratton Park
Frederic Piquionne's agent claims his client has no intention of leaving Portsmouth in January.
The French forward has impressed since joining Pompey on loan from Lyon over the summer, leading to reports that he could be among those seeking an exit from Fratton Park during the winter transfer window.
Portsmouth are expected to be forced into New Year sales, with crippling debts needing to be settled and a sizeable wage bill trimmed.
With Liverpool, Everton and West Ham all rumoured to be interested in Piquionne, the 31-year-old frontman was tipped to be one of the first to be offloaded.
However, his agent is confident the former France international will see out his season-long agreement on the South Coast.
"All the reports you have heard recently are unfounded," he told
France Football.
"Frederic is happy at Portsmouth. For him to leave, Lyon, Portsmouth and the player would have to be in agreement."
