Whittingham happy to bide his time over manager role

Portsmouth caretaker boss Guy Whittingham is happy to fill in until the club decide on a new full-time manager. Speaking after an impressive 3-1 win over Doncaster at Fratton Park in which Luke Varney scored twice, Whittingham was unfazed by the continuing speculation. He said: "All we're trying to do is give the owners and the chief executive time to find the right man. "However long they want us to keep doing it, as long as we keep getting the results, it gives them the time - whether that's this week or in two weeks; however long it might be. "(Fellow caretaker boss) Stuart (Gray) and I are happy to hold the fort at the moment and for as long as they want us to."
