Danish keeper counting on Portsmouth deal being extended

Reading goalkeeper Mikkel Andersen's loan deal at Portsmouth expires next week but the Dane expects to stay at the League One club. Pompey secured the keeper on a short-term deal in August and he has started all six of the club's games so far this season, keeping his first clean sheet in a 3-0 victory at Crawley last time out. The 23-year-old is convinced he will be staying at Fratton Park beyond his current contract.

Happy

He told bold.dk: "I am counting on the deal being extended. I am very, very happy here. "Even though Portsmouth are playing in League One it is still a huge club. There is a healthy mentality here and the fans are amazing. "No matter where we play the fans will always be behind us. The home ground is almost always packed and sometimes when we play away from home the support is so great that it feels like a home game. "Portsmouth worked hard to get me and Reading were willing to help me. So I am certain that I will get to stay here and hopefully I will continue to play regularly."
