Spurs boss Jacques Santini has agreed a deal for Basle's Thimothee Atouba.
The revolution at Tottenham is set to continue after new boss Jacques Santini agreed a deal for Basel's Cameroon international wing back Thimothee Atouba. The 22-year-old, who has 12 Cameroon caps, will make the switch to The Premiership after two-and-a-half year with the Swiss outfit.
Despite his tender age Atouba has an excellent pedigree having played against the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool in the UEFA Champions League.
Spurs' sporting director Frank Arnesen expressed his personal delight that the club had managed to secure the services of the African ace.
"Thimothee is a strong, versatile left-footed player - he is able to play left midfield or left full-back," said Arnesen to the club's official website.
"He comes to us from Basel where he gained experience of playing in the Champions League against teams such as Manchester United and Liverpool.
"He plays for the national team of Cameroon and was nominated for the African Nations representative team last season.
"We are delighted he will be in our squad for the new season."
