Spurs youngster to join on loan until the end of the season

Torquay United have agreed a deal to sign Tottenham Hotspur youngster Sam Cox on loan until the end of the season. Cox has already had loan spells at Cheltenham Town and Histon this season, and is now primed for a move to Plainmoor. He has been training with the Gulls and is likely to be involved in Saturday's League Two encounter at home to Burton Albion. "Sam has got pace, he can pass the ball, he's got a good temperament like Adam Smith and I believe he will improve us," Torquay boss Paul Buckle told the Herald Express. Cox, who can play in midfield and left-back, will join Spurs team-mate Adam Smith in spending the remainder of the campaign at Torquay.
